A little over eight years ago, Jennifer and I attended an informational meeting led by Audra in Gateway Baptist. We were eager to plan the best educational path for our oldest daughter. Wow, we had no idea what the Lord had planned for the Freeman family. Today, all four daughters attend Legacy. Caroline, Georgia, Charlotte, and Ginger continue to grow educationally and spiritually by the many teachers, coaches, staff, and MOM that impact their lives on a daily basis. We have been engaged on multiple projects with other families at Legacy to grow the school. I have been closely involved in coaching football over the last seven years. There has not been minute of service or coaching time that I regret.

Lisa and her husband, Scott, found Legacy in 2007 after searching for schooling options that would allow more involvement with the academic and spiritual education of their children. Lisa taught at Legacy for several years and discovered a passion for helping other parents succeed in the UMS model, in addition to growing Christ-like character in students. She then moved into administration as the Dean of Family Ministry, and served in that role for five years. She currently works in marketing/communication for her family’s business. Her two children, Hudson and Lauren, began attending Legacy when Hudson was in third grade and Lauren was in Kindergarten. They now are both in high school and are active in National Honor Society and theater, where Lisa also enjoys volunteering. Lisa desires to support the school in continuing to fulfill its mission and vision, while helping parents, teachers, and staff succeed in the UMS model.
