JH Legacy Cross Country Excels at District Meet

 

HUGE congratulations to the JH Legacy Lions Cross Country team on an incredible 2017 season!!!  The girls and boys teams both brought home some hardware at the HAPS District Cross Country meet hosted by Rosehill Christian at Spring Creek park in Tomball.  The runners competed against each other over a 3200M course where the girls team took home second place overall team in district and the boys claimed the very first team district championship in Legacy Cross Country history.

The JH girls team was led by 8th grader Layla Faysal claiming a personal best PB time of 14:07.67 and 7th place overall.  The rest of the team followed close behind with 5th grader Charlotte Freeman coming in 12th (14:48), Hannah Grace Bryant 13th (14:54), Isabella Keyes 19th (15:36), Brooklyn Clark 25th (16:08), Madyson Knight 27th (16:22), Ginger Freeman 33rd (17:20), Sydney Lewis 37th (17:55), Isabella Tranchina 44th (18:30), Josephine Tautfest 47th (19:05), Sydney Eggers 48th (19:06), Sarah Mclemore 56th (20:24) and Andi Evrard 65th (23:35). 

The JH boys team was led by 8th grader Brennan Clark claiming a personal best time of 11:48.17 and 2nd place overall finish.  The rest of the boys team put on a dominant performance as Jake McLemore 5th (12:04), Luke Henson 10th (12:31), Carter Hutton 11th (12:34), Gavin Gerwick 14th (12:53), Matthew Dick 16th (13:00), Austin Lewis 27th (13:39), Carson Keyes 28th (13:41), Tyler Wyles 49th (14:52), Will Condley 55th (15:18), Tanner Herridge 72nd (16:10), Aiden Rivers 73rd (16:10), Gage Gerwick 74th (16:11) and Cline Piotrowski 87th (18:19) closed out the race with multiple personal best times.
