What are you enjoying about your college experience?
I have loved meeting so many new friends – some have turned into best friends. Playing basketball has been a great experience, I have traveled to different states and played basketball at different Colleges. Being in a sorority has been so much fun, I have learned a lot about the History of Kappa Delta Sorority and have had the privilege of working on community service projects around Jackson.

How do you feel your time at Legacy helped prepare you for college?
Being at Legacy has helped prepare me to multitask. I have had lot on my plate with classes, study halls, basketball and sorority but I feel like I have come into college able to handle it pretty well. Academically I have felt prepared for my classes. We have had a lot of writing assignments and I have done well. My instructors at Legacy have made the transition from High School to College an easy one.

How was your adjustment to the college schedule based on coming from a university-model school?
Being at Legacy with the university model schedule has helped me know how to prioritize my time and get my work done. I’m still able to go to practice, be involved in my sorority, be involved in other campus organization, and have fun with friends.

What are some of your fond memories/favorite experiences while at Legacy?
One of my favorite memories at Legacy was playing basketball. I loved my team so much and still to this day I wish I could go back to that team and play just one more game with them.

If you had to describe Legacy in one or two sentences to somebody, what would you say?
I would say that Legacy is a family where everyone feels they are welcome. Every day I felt blessed to attend Legacy.

How does your spiritual life play a role in your college experience?
Going to school with others that do not have the same beliefs as you is challenging but you just have to stay true to your faith and trust in God.

Do you feel Legacy helped to grow you spiritually and for doing God’s work?
Being at Legacy helped me to grow in my faith because I was inspired by my classmates, teachers, and coaches to always look towards God in everything I do. Even when things got tough, I knew that God would help me and give me peace.

Is there anything else you would like to share with Legacy families or those interested in Legacy?
I would say that Legacy is such an amazing experience and that being at Legacy teaches you so much and it really prepares you for your future after Legacy.
