Meagan Fornero Signs Letter of Intent

Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy 2017 senior, Meagan Fornero, signed a letter of intent with Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey earlier this month. Fornero will graduate on May 19, 2017 from Legacy Prep and will join the Rider diving team. She was recruited for springboard and platform diving with the Rider Broncs.

“We are so proud of and excited for Meagan.  She has worked diligently at the high school level to reach her dream of diving in college.  I know she is thrilled to continue competing in the sport she loves,” stated Audra May, Legacy Prep Head Administrator.

Legacy Prep is a University-Model School (UMS) in The Woodlands, Texas comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12th. The school prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic background that is rich in opportunities. Legacy Prep is a Christ-centered school that creates college-worthy, character witnesses for Christ.

“I’m super excited to dive in college,” Meagan Fornero said. “I know I will have so much fun being a part of Rider’s swim and dive team.”

Fornero has attended Legacy Prep for six years. She has qualified for and competed at national events (USA Nationals and AAU Nationals) six times.  Fornero competes on both the one and three-meter springboard as well as the platform.

According to Jennifer Bryant, Meagan’s mother, “Meagan has worked hard at diving for many years now. I have always been amazed at her drive and passion for diving. I am so happy to see that her hard work has paid off.”

Fornero added, “I’m going to miss all my friends and amazing teachers at Legacy. Legacy has helped prepare me to go into the world and stand strong in my faith, and that is something I will carry with me everywhere I go.”
