PreK through 4th grade
Legacy’s elementary PreK(4) through 4th grades provide a full range of academic coursework. All grade levels receive formal instruction in Bible, Science, Mathematics, History, and Language Arts. Throughout the week, students participate in music and physical education, providing a well-rounded educational experience. In addition, students enjoy library time each week and attend chapels throughout the month to build a strong biblical worldview. Elementary teachers are called by God and highly qualified to impart both spiritual and academic instruction.
I am Lisa Bontrager, the proud principal of Legacy Elementary, where we foster a nurturing and inspiring environment for young learners to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Legacy, we are dedicated to providing a safe and engaging space for every child. Our Godly, compassionate, and experienced staff work together to create a vibrant community where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and every student is empowered to reach their full spiritual and academic potential.
We believe that strong partnerships with parents are key to our students’ success. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our program. Whether you’re a new family or a returning member of our school community, we are excited to work together in support of our students’ spiritual growth and achievement.
Thank you for visiting! I look forward to learning and growth at Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy.
Blessings,
Lisa Bontrager,
Elementary School Principal
Our goal is to partner with parents to establish a strong spiritual foundation for each student. Every academic subject is taught through the lens of a biblical worldview. We start each school day with Bible class led by the homeroom teacher, and each month, students gather for corporate chapels where they receive instruction in core spiritual principles. Our chapel teacher visits all classrooms throughout the month to reinforce those foundational truths for each student. This is called our Elementary Light program, which also incorporates monthly service projects. Scripture memory is included in our Bible curriculum.
In elementary, students attend class two days per week for academic instruction. On Fridays, Legacy offers elementary students the option to attend a third day of elective classes, which change each semester. Examples include: Chess, Circus Arts, Gymnastics, Homework Help, Science Lab, Club Sports, Chess, Coding or Art. Through every child’s understood language of fun, our elective classes endeavor to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving skills and relationship building.
