Director of Performing Arts

Katy is a graduate of Texas A&M, wife of the coolest dude in town, and mother to three energetic children, all of whom attend Legacy. Guided by the Holy Spirit, fueled by caffeine, and driven by a passion for all things creative, she began her employment at Legacy as a high school English teacher in 2011 before founding the theater arts program (FOIL) in 2015. Now serving as the Director of Fine Arts in addition to running the theater arts program, her goal is to foster a culture of appreciation for the arts, as well as provide positive opportunities and experiences for creatively gifted students who wish to develop their skills. When she’s not working, Katy can be found in participating in the community theater scene on and off stage, volunteering at church, or enjoying time with her family and friends.
