One sovereign God, one way of salvation, one book of truth, and one church
Statement of Faith
Families must be in agreement with the following Statement of Faith that guides the ministry of Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy
There is one sovereign God: In three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1; John 1:14)
There is one way of salvation: Faith in Jesus Christ, the son of God, who lived as a man, died for the sins of all men, and was resurrected so that all who believe in their hearts and confess Jesus as Lord with their mouths will be saved. (John 14:6)
There is one book of truth: The Bible, God’s written revelation to man, authoritative, reliable, and inerrant, without the need of any other document to complete its message. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
There is one body: The church, with its many parts acting in unison. (Romans 12:10; 1 John 4:7-11)
Mission Statement
At Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy, we partner with parents to educate and train their children to be character witnesses of Christ. Through the university model, students are equipped to impact the world by sharing the gospel, boldly and unashamedly. Legacy prepares students to become strong Christian leaders through academic excellence and a biblical worldview.
Non-Denominational Policy
Neither Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy nor its faculty, staff, volunteers, parents or students, when acting as representatives of the school, shall promote any doctrinal or denominational beliefs, practices or positions which are in conflict with the Statement of Faith, nor shall they promote or disparage any beliefs, practices, or positions upon which the ministry has assumed no official stance.
Biblical Lifestyle Statement
An integral part of Legacy’s mission is to foster spiritual development and a biblical worldview in the lives of its students. This includes leading students to develop a biblical understanding of morality and to pursue a life that is governed by the biblical moral code. The school works in partnership with families to achieve these desired outcomes, which necessitates that both the school and home come under the authority of God for the benefit of the student. For this reason, the school reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student if the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home or the activities of the student are counter to or are in opposition to the biblical lifestyle the school teaches.
