Thomas brings 30 years of Houston Area High School baseball coaching experience, 22 as head coach, to Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy program. His carrier started at Humble High School in 1989 as an assistant varsity coach, after graduating from Stephen F Austin State University. From 1994 – 2017, Thomas served as head coach at Kempner High School, Nacogdoches High School, Cypress Woods High School, and Clear Lake High School, as well as Legacy Prep in 2022. After retirement from public school, Thomas spent 3 years as a team sales rep for Barcelona Sports. He is currently President of the Greater Houston Baseball Coaches Association, and the Co-Founder/President of the Triple Crown Cancer Foundation. He has 2 children, Brooks (25) who lives in Austin, and Maddie (17), who is a senior at Bridgeland High School.
