The 2020 TAPPS 4A District 4 XC Championships were hosted by Cypress Christian and the Legacy Prep Lions ROAR echoed across the meet! The HS Girls and Boys teams both claimed 1st place team champions. Caroline Freeman led the ladies finishing 1st overall individual with personal best/school record (12:48.7 2 mile). Aubrey Davis (2nd), Layla Faysal (6th), Hannah Grace Bryant (7th), Molly Steed (8th), Audrey Sipko (10th), Rebekah Fleming (19th) and Bonnie Hopkins (23rd) round out the ladies team. 7 of 8 LPCA ladies ran a personal best time. On the men’s side, Carter Hutton claimed 1st place overall male and set personal best/school record (17:20.4 5K). Other top performers for the boys team include Carson Keyes (2nd), Brennan Clark (3rd), Luke Henson (5th), Gage Gerwick (6th), Collin Dyniewski (8th), Jake McLemore (9th), Isaac Davis (10th), Levi Brown (12th), Wesley Kuykendall (14th) and Zach Brown (16th). Eight of the 11 boys ran a personal best time. Congrats to the Lions XC team for two district championship titles! The Lions will compete next in the TAPPs State Championship meet on November 2nd in Hewitt, TX. Let’s go Lions!!
