Fine Arts Overview

Legacy Preparatory aims to offer a variety of Fine Arts options to engage students, from the little ones developing new interests and skills in elementary school through the most sophisticated talents of high school students. The goals of the Fine Arts Department are to both encourage the development of the students’ Christian character and to provide a venue for them to express their creativity in a way that glorifies God.

Our current offerings for elementary students include art classes during the school week as well as Friday electives including piano, guitar, and musical theater. Middle school students can continue taking art classes or audition for the Spring Musical. High school students may continue taking art classes, join the Praise Band, or audition for the Fall One-Act play or the Spring Musical. Middle and High School students interested in photography may be interested in taking the Publications elective which provides the articles and photos for the monthly newsletter Paws for Thought and the yearbook. We hope every student can find something to suit his or her gifts!
