Legacy Swimmers Excel at State Meet

The LPCA SWIM TEAM represented Legacy well in the TAPPS DIV 3 STATE MEET in San Antonio Monday, February 8th! The Lady Lions Swimmers improved to a 5th place finish this year (with only four swimmers)and the Lions Swimmers finished 4th overall! Way to go swimmers!

The Lady Lions consisting of Serenity Stepanik, Sydney Crane, Paityn Smith, and Lauren Walker had and incredible showing at State. Each of these ladies had top 10 finishes. With only 4 athletes, they managed to finish in 5th place overall. Outstanding!!

The boys fought hard in the water earning them 4th place overall at state. Each and every one of the boys, Collin Dyniewski, Matt Foust, Sam Foust, Malcolm Kerr, Sean Stepanik, Gavin Gerwick, and Gage Gerwick contributed to earning points for Legacy. The boys 4X50 relay team finish 3rd overall earning them a medal on the podium. Two of Legacy’s school records were broken in the boys 100 Free 49.59 and the boys 100 Back stroke 54.79 by Gavin Gerwick. Way to go Lions!
